Preparing for Florida...oh joy
I know some of you would love to go to Florida, but I used to live there, and I know the dark side of the upside-down lookin L state. Here are some reasons:
1. The weather is very...montonous. You can tell what time of day it is if it is raining or not. So if you go to Florida (especially Pinellas county area), dont plan any out door activities at 5:00 pm. Why? chances are, it'll be raining.
2. There's no winter time in Florida. The coldest it gets where I used to live was 40s-50s. It almost never gets below freezing, and thats a problem for me. I love the cold.
3. Its sticking out in the middle of a hurricane pathway. I was around during the 2004 4 hurricane deal, and it wasn't cool. My advice, stay away from Florida during a big hurrican season.
4. Waaay too many old people living down there. Seriously....
5. Waaay too many young couple down there, also. (I dont know if thats a bad thing, but still.)
6. Waaay too many middle aged women with attitudes. Ive never been given the finger where I currently live, but in Florida....the women.....
7. Too over crowded. Face it, people. Florida is overrated, now go home and enjoy your own beaches.
8. The beaches aren't worth it? Why? Besides the fact that they are crowded, they cost money to get in. And its not like you can see the ocean from the road. They are littered with condos!
9. Theme parks! not.....too over crowded also. and I'm scared of heights and roller-coaster.
Well, those are only 8 reasons why I dont like Florida. I have more, I just dont want to think of them at the moment. I could list a gagillion reasons why I hate the beach alone. I cannot stand the beach! One day ill do a post on just the beach....but thats not important right now. Florida isnt my favorite place to be, but some of my favorite people live there, and I would pretty much do anything for my friends (except drink a cup of whole milk, go to the beach, or ride a roller coaster). I still havent packed yet and my family is leaving at 5 am tomorrow morning....oh joy. So, Ill pack my DS, Wii (so I can connect to the internet since I dont have any good service out here in the boonies), clothes (duh), Bible, and other junk*. Ill just be glad to visit Luke (one of my best friends).
This trip isnt bringing me warm fuzzies. I also have to miss a chance to go to liberty university to go to their winter fest. Sad day*.... But hey, I still get to see Luke.
But I still ain't getting no warm fuzzies. Anyways, later everyone!

My life in an egg shell (since it wont fit in a nut)
Ya, so this is my first day on this thing. I hope someone will eventually read this, but i know you're out there.....somewhere.
Anyways, this is a blog about a not so typical teenage. My name is Timothy Martins I go to a christian private school, live on a christian camp called Camp Grace (best place in the world, btw), and pretty much live in a christian environment. I have adopted the Christian life style. In short, I am a teen living for Jesus Christ.
Please dont be offended by that. I love Jesus, and he loves you, so dont be hating.
So I'm going to walk you throgh my life:
7:00a - 2:00p SCHOOL! My school is very small. The high school has only about 100 people, and that includes 7th and 8th grades. So, 9-12 probably onlt has 50-60 kids. I love my school. All my teachrs rock and i pretty much know everybody there. I am currently top of my class (with two others right on my tail). Speaking of my class, i have the most awesome class ever. Theres only 14 of us, and we all love each other. We are so diverse with different attributes and personalities, we mold together so perfectly.
2:00p - 12:00a Home/CAMP! I live with both my parents at a christian camp called camp grace. I also have an older brother whose in college. He needs to get married. My house isn't at all big. Its average. When I get home, i ussually nap, check my facebook, do my homework, eat, and work on whatever needs to be done. I try to keep myself busy, because I love being busy and stressed! Kinda weird, isn't it. I also find myself working better last minute. I do a better job when I procrastinate. I am wierd. I am the staff writer for the school news paper (which my best friend and myself pretty much do all by ourselves), co-presient of my youth-groups leadership team (with my best friend, who you'll meet in a minute), and I tutor (yes, with my best friend). I also work at camp a lot. See, I live at a summer camp that can be rented during the fall and spring. Lots of events transpire between summers, and I usually attend those events. Im starting to work more and more at camp during the summer, and less and less during the fall, winter, and spring because im busy with other school related stuff. And since ive been keeping myself busy, ive also had to stop piano lessons...in exchange for trumpet (I play in band).
As you can see, I keep myself busy, but I will always make room on my schedule if I get the opportunity to spend time with my friends. My friends are amazing. Some live in Florida or tennesse, and some live here. My best friend is Megan. She is the one who helps me with the school paper and stuff. Shes graduating though, and i dont know hat im going to do when she leaves. Im going to be left solo to some extent. Another good friend is Tyler (in fact, im texting him right now). He's in my class, and probably one the most athletic in the school. I have a "wife" named Allison. She's not really my wife, we just got married on facebook and we pretend to be married. She actually likes someone else and I like someone else, so its all fun and games. Another good friend is Luke in Florida who is like my brother. You'll hear about them later when I recount storied that have already and will occur.
Now since it is 12:30 am, I will now end this blog. Im not tired, but I will force myself to sleep. (I have bad sleeping habits.) So stay safe and may God bless you richly!
Goodnight!
